These are efforts made by us to give back and engage with the community in the Bay Area and all over California.
UC Davis EAOP
July 25, 2024
Students from the UC Davis Early Academic Outreach Program (EOAP) visited SJSU and participated in chemistry engagement activities with Dr. Rios. Dr. Rios and several students from the research lab helped the EOAP students in hands-on activities and presented the relevance of organic chemistry in everyday life to them. These activities allowed them to interact and develop an appreciation of organic compounds in a safe and fun manner. The EOAP students were also shown how organic chemistry is a core part of many sciences specifically in Astrobiology.
