Collaborations

This program offers an online internship for anyone interested in science communication, moral philosophy, and space and earth science. They create many opportunities for students and early scientists to participate in research, learn about science communication, critical thinking skills in ethics and more

The Exobiology Branch at the NASA Ames Research Center creates a leading effort in making a bridge between the NASA programs and other research communities like our research group. Research in the Branch is based on prebiotic chemistry and the origin of life in the Universe. They also develop many life detecting missions, and instruments to analyze data given.

We have active collaborations with members of the Exobiology branch.

ASPIRE Program

The Astrobiology Scholars Program Immersive Research Experience (ASPIRE) is a long term collaboration between SJSU and Skyline College with scientists from NASA Ames Research Center led by the principal investigator, Dr. Rios. It aims to provide scholars opportunities to conduct research in Astrobiology. They will participate all year round by being mentored in research and other professional skills. Everyone will also be fully supported year round based on the living wage rate for Silicon Valley.

The Exobiology branch uses the Center for Life Detection (CLD) to create a leading effort in organizing the life detection community. They use computational and experimental ideas to answer questions regarding cosmochemistry, synthetic biology, and many other areas of science as a whole. Their work gives essential insight on questions about the origins and early evolution of life.
